I was sitting at our dining room table working on my lap top while talking to my cousin in Billings, MT. I felt the table shake (it is a very heavy Amish wood table) and I told my cousin, “I think we just had an earthquake” I shut inside lights off to look outside (as it is still dark) and wanted to make sure there was nothing happening I should know about out there. I told my cousin I would call her back after I got dressed.
I get up every weekday morning around 3AM to fix breakfast and pack a lunch for my husband to take to work. From now on, I will take my shower as soon as he is off to work and I will pack our necessities in a bag with important papers etc. for that moment like today, that I will at least feel prepared to a degree for that happening and not to feel the panic that I felt today.
