Exact location of earthquake, longitude 142.6641 East, latitude -6.1336 South, depth = 10 km. The epicenter of the earthquake was roughly 10 km (6 miles) below the earth’s surface.
The epicenter was 39 km (25 miles) from Tari (c. 8 200 pop). Closest city/cities/towns to epicentrum/hypocenter was Tari (min 5000 pop). Close country/countries, Papua New Guinea (c. 6 065 000 pop) (That might be effected).
